Wishing you an abundantly blessed New Year filled with deep joy, quiet peacefulness, and all the love your heart and hands can hold! Namaste' :-)
New Year's eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights.

Then what is good? The obsessive interest in human affairs, plus a certain amount of compassion and moral conviction, that first made the experience of living something that must be translated into pigment or music or bodily movement or poetry or prose or anything that's dynamic and expressivee--that's what's good for you if you're at all serious in your aims. William Saroyan wrote a great play on this theme, that purity of heart is the one success worth having. "In the time of your life--live!" That time is short and it doesn't return again. It is slipping away while I write this and while you read it, the monosyllable of the clock is Loss, loss, loss, unless you devote your heart to its opposition.
~ Tennessee Williams

Never stop dreaming your inspired future. Believing in your dreams is only the first step, but unless you have a dream that you believe in, you are leaving your future to random chance.

Do not confuse notoriety and fame with greatness...for you see, greatness is a measure of one's spirit, not a result of one's rank in human affairs.

A Blessing
May the light of your soul guide you
May the light of your soul bless the work you do with the secret love and warmth of your heart.
May you see in what you do the beauty of your own soul.
May the sacredness of your work bring healing, light and renewal to those who work with you and to those who see and receive your work.
May your work never weary you.
May it release within you wellsprings of refreshment, inspiration and excitement.
May you be present in what you do.
May you never become lost in the bland absences.
May the day never burden.
May dawn find you awake and alert, approaching your new day with dreams, possibilities and promises.
May evening find you gracious and fulfilled.
May you go into the night blessed, sheltered and protected.
May your soul calm, console and renew you.

Feeling Our Words
Words Have Weight
The more conscious we become, the more we deepen our relationship to the words we choose to use.
Words carry energy and this gives language its power and its potential to heal or hurt. Most of us can remember a time that someone sent a word our way, and it stuck with us. It may have been the first time we received a truly accurate compliment, or the time a friend or sibling called us a name, but either way it stuck. This experience reminds us that what we say has weight and power and that being conscious means being aware of how we use words.
The more conscious we become, the more we deepen our relationship to the words we use so that we speak from a place of actually feeling what we are saying. We begin to recognize that words are not abstract, disconnected entities used only to convey meaning; they are powerful transmitters of feeling. For the next few days, you might want to practice noticing how the words you say and hear affect your body and your emotional state. Notice how the different communication styles of the people in your life make you feel. Also, watch closely to see how your own words come out and what affect they have on the people around you.
You may notice that when we speak quickly, without thinking, or rush to get our ideas across, our words don't carry the same power as when we speak slowly and confidently, allowing those receiving our words time and space to take them in. When we carefully listen to others before we speak, our words have more integrity, and when we take time to center ourselves before speaking, we truly begin to harness the power of speech. Then our words can be intelligent messengers of healing and light, transmitting deep and positive feelings to those who receive them.

Notes from the Universe
Do it your way.
That's what you're there for.
Ciao,

Give thanks, whenever you want more.
Of anything,

Sometimes, instead of running from something scary in your life, it's easier to learn not to be scared of it.
Let it stay. Pull up a chair. Share some eggnog.
Tallyho,

Whatever your problem or challenge may be, laugh at it. Laugh long and hard.
Because you are forever and it is temporary.
Love you,
The Universe

My Dearest, I was about to wish that your every dream come true. That you find yourself surrounded by friends, laughter, and good times. I almost wished that your every cup runneth over financially, romantically, spiritually, and creatively. That good health be your faithful companion, peace your guarded ally, and love your perpetual guide. When suddenly, it dawned on me that as an infinite, powerful, fun-loving gladiator of the Universe, with eternity before you and the power of your thoughts to help shape it...it's YOU, who will be granting wishes this year.

When you reach for the thought that feels better, the Universe is now responding differently to you because of that effort. And so, the things that follow you get better and better, too. So it gets easier to reach for the thought that feels better, because you are on ever-increasing, improving platforms that feel better.

Expectation indicates the juncture between where you are and where you want to be. Where you want to be is your desire, and where you are is your Set-point or habit of thought. And, somewhere in there, is what we would call expectation. Expectation, whether it is wanted or unwanted, is a powerful point of attraction. Your expectation is always what you believe. But the word expectation does imply more what you are wanting than what you are not wanting. It is a more positive word than it is a negative word. But of course, you could expect negatively—and whatever you expect, you will get!
~ ‘The Teachings of Abraham’ by Esther and Jerry Hicks

The key to life is loving what you do. Not liking it mind you, I mean loving it. Because loving what you do gives you enthusiasm, and enthusiasm will solve all your problems. With enthusiasm, you hardly notice the set backs, the rejections, and all the other things that stand between you and your goal. Liking something doesn't cut it; only enthusiasm will carry you through the last mile. Only enthusiasm will carry you to the top. Don't know what you love, well make finding what you love your goal and fall in love with finding what you love.
~ Edward W. Smith

Daily Teaching from The Power
I know of hundreds of relationships that have been restored through the power of love, but one particular story of a woman who used love’s power to restore her crumbling marriage stands out from the others, because this woman had lost all love for her husband. In fact, she couldn’t bear to be near him. Her husband complained every day. He was sick all the time. He was depressed and angry, and verbally abusive to her and their four children.
When the woman learned about the power of giving love, she decided right away to feel happier despite the problems in her marriage. Immediately the atmosphere in their home became lighter, and the woman’s relationships with her children got better. She then went through her photo albums, looking at the photos of her husband when they first married. She took some photos and put them on her desk to look at them every day, and by her doing this, something amazing happened. She felt the love return, her feelings of love began to increase dramatically inside her. She reached a point where she loved her husband more than she ever had in her life. Her love became so great that her husband’s depression and anger disappeared, and his health began to return. This woman went from wanting to be as far away as possible from her husband to a marriage where they want to be with each other as much as possible,
Love Means Freedom
Now here is the tricky bit with giving love in relationships, and it’s the one thing that has prevented many from receiving the life they deserve. It’s only tricky because people have misunderstood what it means to give love to others, you need to understand what it means not to give love to others.
Trying to change another person is not giving love! Thinking you know what is best for another person is not giving love! Thinking you are right and another person is wrong is not giving love! Criticizing, blaming, complaining, nagging, or finding fault with another person is not giving love!
“Hate is not conquered by hate. Hate is conquered by love. This is a law eternal.”
~ Gautama Buddha (563-483 BC)
Founder of Buddhism
