I do not trust people who don’t love themselves and yet tell me, ‘I love you.’ There is an African saying which is: Be careful when a naked person offers you a shirt.

The greatest gift is the gift of loving and believing in yourself. Guard this gift with your life. It is the only thing that will ever truly be yours.

The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

There is a voice in the Universe urging us to remember our purpose for being on this great Earth. This is the voice of inspiration, which is within each and every one of us

Before we can begin a process of transformation we have to stop doing the things that have been holding us back.

Stop trying to be someone you’re not.
One of the greatest challenges in life is being oneself in a world that’s trying to make us like everyone else. Someone will always be prettier, someone will always be smarter, someone will always be younger, but they will never be me. We mustn't change so people will like us. We must be our self and the right people will love the real us.

As you take a few minutes each day to quiet your mind, you will discover a nice  benefit: your everyday, "ordinary" life will begin to seem far more extraordinary. Little things that previously went unnoticed will begin to please you. You'll be more easily satisfied, and happier all around. Rather than focusing on what's wrong with your life, you'll find yourself thinking about and more fully enjoying what's right with your life. The world won't change, but your perception of it will. You'll start to notice the little acts of kindness and caring from other people rather than the negativity and anger."

Notes from the Universe
What do blaring trumpets, cartwheeling angels, harping harpsichordists, and celestial hoedowns bring to mind?
The Pearly Gates? Welcome "Home" parties? Heaven gone wild?
Actually, they play for every early sunrise and all of the moments of each day and night that follow.

If it's not yet obvious to you, the real reason for this, and all seasons, is you. A more perfect child of the Universe has never lived. Until now, only celebrations cloaked in myth and mystery could hint at your divine heritage and sacred destiny. You are life's prayer of becoming and its answer. The first light at the dawn of eternity, drawn from the ether, so that I might know my own depth, discover new heights, and revel in seas of blessed emotion.
A pioneer into illusion, an adventurer into the unknown, and a lifter of veils. Courageous, heroic, and exalted by legions in the unseen.
To give beyond reason, to care beyond hope, to love without limit; to reach, stretch, and dream, in spite of your fears. These are the hallmarks of divinity - traits of the immortal - your badges of honor. May you wear them with a pride as great as the immeasurable pride we feel for you.
Your light has illuminated darkened paths, your gaze has lifted broken spirits, and already your life has changed the course of history.
This is the time of year we celebrate you.

You cannot judge the value of a life by its quantity. It is by the joy that you are feeling. The more joyful you are, the longer you live. Let yourself relax and breathe and be free and be joyous, and romp. The optimum physical life experience is to have plenty of things that stimulate you to desire, and an awareness of the way you feel, so you're reaching for thoughts that feel good—so you're wide open, so you're tuned in, tapped in, and turned on. We promise you, the timing of your death is always chosen by you.
~ 'The Teachings of Abraham' by Esther and Jerry Hicks

Laugh more.  Laughter is what life is all about.  Besides making you feel good, laughter relieves stress and causes other physiological changes in your body that improve your health. Lighten up, tell a joke, and listen to a joke, have a laugh and you will feel like life is truly worth living.
Stop procrastinating about the things you don't want to do, and more importantly, stop procrastinating about the things you love to do.  Many of us seem to be caught living our lives in this grey neutral area in which we avoid pain, but also never take the time to give ourselves some pleasure. Not taking the time to give yourself pleasure, even if it is for only 30 minutes or so a day, leads to burnout, loss of energy, depression and so on.  What is life all about?  Do you really want to live in this nebulous area on a treadmill with no joy?  Cut yourself some slack and do something you enjoy, even if it is for a short while each day.  The time you spend will make your life seem worthwhile and the joy of living will return.

Why Things Happen

“Finding answers isn’t everything.”
We don’t always know why things happen. Disappointments and difficulties may never be explained. For example, you may never fully understand why management passed you up for a promotion or why a partner left you for someone else. No doubt there will be times in your life when you are left scratching your head trying to figure out, “Why?”
Letting go when there is no understanding that “Why?” is very hard.  Our culture places such emphasis on finding answers. But, finding answers isn’t everything. Your life should not stop when you don’t understand events. Instead, you must learn to let go.
So, get on with your life. Regain your energy and passion. Let go of the frustration of asking “Why?” and you clear the deck for a brighter future!

Daily Teaching from The Power
It's Not About the Other Person
You can tell in your relationships right now what you've been giving. If a current relationship is great, it means you are giving more love and gratitude than negativity. If a current relationship is difficult or challenging, it means you are inadvertently giving more negativity than love. Some people think a relationship is either good or bad because of the other person, but life doesn't happen that way. You can't say to the force of love, "I will give love only when the other person gives it to me!" You can't receive anything in life unless you give it first! Whatever you give, you receive, so it's not about the other person at all: it's all about you! It's all about what you are giving and what you are feeling.
You can change any relationship right now by looking for the things you love, appreciate, and are grateful for in that person. When you make a deliberate effort to look for the things you love more than you notice negative things, a miracle will take place. It will appear to you as though something incredible has happened to the other person, but it's the force of love that is incredible, because it dissolves negativity, including negativity in relationships. All you have to do is harness the force of love by looking for the things you love in the person, and everything will change in the relationship!
