Wabi-Sabi – the Japanese aesthetic of beauty

We live in a world where new is good – perfection is strived for – and young is beauty. We thought however that we would share with you today a beautiful aesthetic that the Japanese believe in – it is the principal of Wabi-Sabi. In a nutshell, Wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and accepting the natural cycle of growth. It is simple, uncluttered and it values authenticity above all else. Wabi-Sabi is about flea markets instead of big box stores and malls; it’s about aging wood, not laminate...the principles of Wabi-sabi celebrate the cracks and crevices.

It is so easy to disgard what isn’t new and forget what has aged – but stop and look closely next time at a pot that isn’t perfect – a flower that isn’t fully standing tall – or the aged face of the people around you – they all have a story to tell.

It takes more courage to reveal insecurities than to hide them, more strength to relate to people than to dominate them, more 'manhood' to abide by thought-out principles rather than blind reflex. Toughness is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles and an immature mind.

Making decisions based on fear

Are you making choices based on fear? Afraid of taking a chance on YOU? Afraid of failing or succeeding? Afraid you can't control the outcome? Afraid you might grow? Afraid to LIVE outside of your comfort zone?
When we make decisions based on fear, we block our blessings. Learning how to detach from outcomes while holding on to your positive intentions takes skill, but it's not impossible. When we worry and are consequently afraid of making powerful choices for ourselves, it is counter-productive. When we choose to do or NOT do things based on fear, we hold ourselves hostage. It is your responsibility to live a FULL life. How? Your choices determine how FULL your life experiences will and can be.

I have made some power-FULL choices in my life based on fear too so you're not alone. However, when I realized that I was only hurting myself, I made a change. I then chose to take the fear WITH me instead of letting it keep me at a standstill. Life is about the experiences along the way. You won't get out alive anyway as they say so why not REALLY live? Why not do the things you REALLY want to do without reservation? I'm not saying be reckless, but do live with FAITH in your heart KNOWING that your needs will be and are being met. How you perceive a situation is exactly how it will play out.

The more you fear change, the faster it will show up in your life because you see what you resist DOES indeed persist. Things will show up and you will wonder WHY -- you are the reason why. It is through your thoughts, feelings and actions that experiences are born. What are you birthing in your life right now? What are you so focused on that has you ultimately stuck? What are you afraid of?

Don't make decisions based on fear. It will get you nowhere FAST and the thing you are determined to avoid WILL show up anyway because the passion behind your fear will bring it to you. Just relax. Enjoy the moments of your life. Make great empowering choices for yourself based on POSITIVE intention, not fear. Watch what happens next!

A Note from the Universe

Guidance, attention, help, maybe. Love, always. Criticism, never.

What to give others.

Love always,

You're really not wanting to limit beliefs because belief is just perspective, and the more beliefs or the more perspectives or the more attitudes, the bigger the vibrational kitchen from which you can make your pie. Just get so good at directing your Energy that the belief doesn't dominate.

Don't work harder, work smarter.  What can you do on your job, right now, to work smarter?  What you did yesterday to be smarter, doesn't count.  Things have changed since then and you have to relook at things every day.  You have new information; perhaps new tools, and new challenges and opportunities, so look around you right now and see what you can do better, faster, cheaper, and of course smarter.

Daily Teaching from The Power

"Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease."

What does it mean to be healthy? You may think that being healthy means that you are not sick, but being healthy is far more than that. If you are feel okay, or average, or nothing much at all, you are not healthy.
